MATERIALS ENGINEER @ ALMONDZ GLOBAL INFRA CONSULTANT LTD
We are looking for a Materials Engineer to join our team for a Technical Audit assignment focused on Road and Bridge projects in Tanzania. The role involves inspecting materials used on-site, reviewing laboratory test results, and ensuring all materials meet the project's technical specifications and safety standards. You will be responsible for validating the quality assurance processes implemented by contractors and providing expert recommendations for material selection and usage.
This is a critical role in ensuring the long-term durability and safety of the infrastructure projects funded by the AfDB. Tanzanian nationals are highly encouraged to apply for this position. You will work closely with the Team Leader to identify any material-related deficiencies and suggest corrective measures. The position demands a high level of technical proficiency and field experience.

Key Requirements
Degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, or Materials Science.
Extensive experience in testing and quality control of road construction materials.
Familiarity with international materials testing standards (AASHTO, ASTM, British Standards).
Experience in performing technical audits specifically related to material quality.
Comprehensive knowledge of soil mechanics and pavement design principles.
Ability to prepare and review detailed laboratory and field test reports.
Previous experience on AfDB or similar donor-funded infrastructure projects.
Proficiency in data analysis and technical reporting in English.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance protocols.
Professional license or registration with the Engineers Registration Board of Tanzania or equivalent.
