MATERIALS ENGINEER @ ALMONDZ GLOBAL INFRA CONSULTANT LTD.
We are looking for a qualified Materials Engineer to join our technical audit team for an AfDB-funded project in Tanzania. The role involves auditing the quality control and quality assurance processes implemented in road and bridge construction. You will be responsible for reviewing material test results, inspecting laboratory facilities, and ensuring that all construction materials used meet the specified project standards and international benchmarks.
As a Materials Engineer, you will work closely with the audit team to identify any deviations in material quality that could affect the longevity and safety of the infrastructure. This position requires a detail-oriented professional capable of performing rigorous site inspections and technical evaluations. Your findings will be critical in the preparation of audit reports that assist in the successful delivery of national infrastructure improvements.

Key Requirements
Degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, or Materials Science.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in materials testing for highway projects.
Expertise in soil mechanics, pavement materials, and concrete technology.
Experience in auditing laboratory procedures and field testing methods.
Familiarity with international testing standards (ASTM, AASHTO, British Standards).
Ability to analyze complex technical data and provide clear recommendations.
Strong communication skills for reporting audit findings to the Team Leader.
Previous experience on AfDB or similar international development projects.
Physical fitness for conducting site inspections in remote road project locations.
Knowledge of Tanzanian construction material standards and environmental regulations.
