AKO Group Limited, a leading Tanzanian-owned catering and integrated facilities management company, is seeking a meticulous Assistant Accountant to join its finance department. The Assistant Accountant will play a critical role in recording financial transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring the accuracy of the company's financial records. The successful candidate will be stationed in either the Shinyanga or Mara regions, supporting the company's remote operations and life-support solutions. Key duties include performing bank reconciliations, assisting in the preparation of financial reports, and providing necessary support during internal and external audits. Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field of study.
A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a similar accounting or finance role.
Proven experience working within the catering, hospitality, or industrial sectors is highly preferred.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with various ERP software systems.
Demonstrated ability to accurately record and manage financial transactions.
Competency in managing both accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
Experience in performing comprehensive bank reconciliations and identifying discrepancies.
Ability to assist in the preparation of detailed monthly and annual financial reports.
Knowledge of Tanzanian financial regulations and statutory compliance requirements.
High level of integrity, professional ethics, and extreme attention to detail.
