DECLARATION OFFICER @ AIRSEA CLEARING & FORWARDING LTD
AIRSEA Clearing & Forwarding Ltd is seeking a dedicated and experienced Declaration Officer to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing customs clearing processes, ensuring accurate documentation submission, and maintaining compliance with TRA regulations to facilitate smooth cargo movement.
The role involves working closely with port authorities and ICDs across Tanzania, including Dar es Salaam, Tanga, and Mwanza. You will be expected to handle all aspects of customs declarations via TANCIS and ensure that all import and export operations align with local legal requirements and company standards.

Key Requirements
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in customs clearing, forwarding, or freight management.
Familiarity with Tanzania customs procedures and port operations.
Experience handling import/export documentation such as Bills of Lading and Commercial Invoices.
Expert knowledge of TANCIS.
Proficiency in tariff classification, valuation, and duties calculation.
Strong understanding of TRA regulations, VAT, and excise taxes.
Ability to prepare, verify, and submit customs declarations accurately.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
Basic accounting skills for invoice reconciliation.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under strict deadlines.
