ICT FIELD ENGINEER @ AHEAD AFRICA SOLUTION LTD
Ahead Africa Solution Ltd is a prominent Tanzania-based ICT and Managed IT Service Provider that delivers specialized solutions in networking, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and surveillance systems. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and proactive ICT Field Engineer to join our technical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of various enterprise-grade ICT and security infrastructure assets across multiple client sites in Dar es Salaam.
In this role, you will perform essential field operations, including structured cabling, server maintenance, and biometric access control deployment. You will be expected to maintain high service levels by resolving complex hardware and software connectivity issues while ensuring strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental standards. Key Requirements
Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Telecommunications.
2–4 years of proven hands-on experience in ICT or network engineering.
Proficiency in TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, NAT, DNS, DHCP, and QoS.
Technical experience with MikroTik, Ubiquiti, Cisco, and HP/Aruba hardware.
Expertise in structured cabling (TIA/EIA), termination, and fiber splicing.
Ability to support and integrate biometric access control, CCTV, and IP-PBX/VoIP systems.
Experience in documentation, project handovers, and service reporting.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service abilities.
Understanding of Windows Server or Linux administration fundamentals.
Capability to work independently under SLAs and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
