ACCOUNTANT @ AFRICRUIT
Africruit is seeking a dedicated and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry in Tanzania, East Africa. This pivotal role involves overseeing daily accounting and finance activities, ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing comprehensive monthly financial reports and statements, managing vendor payments and customer receivables, and conducting meticulous bank reconciliations and cash monitoring. A key aspect of this position is to ensure strict compliance with all relevant tax laws and accounting standards, contributing to the financial integrity of the organization. Furthermore, the Accountant will play a crucial role in supporting various financial initiatives, including assisting in budgeting and financial planning processes. This involves contributing insights and data to help shape future financial strategies. The role also encompasses supporting internal and external audit activities, demonstrating a commitment to transparency and accountability. Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation is paramount, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and accessible. Key Requirements
Strong understanding of accounting standards and financial reporting.
Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office tools.
Proven experience in taxation and statutory compliance.
Experience managing vendor payments and customer receivables.
Ability to conduct bank reconciliations and cash monitoring.
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience supporting internal and external audit activities.
Capacity to assist in budgeting and financial planning processes.
