MEAL ASSISTANT (1) @ AFRICAN WOMEN AND YOUTH ACTION FOR DEVELOPMENT (AWYAD)
The MEAL Assistant will support the monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) functions of AWYAD’s programs across Uganda. You will be responsible for assisting in the development of monitoring tools, collecting field data, and ensuring that all project indicators are accurately tracked. Your work will contribute to improved project performance and organizational learning through rigorous data management.
In addition to data collection, you will assist in preparing periodic reports and participating in internal project reviews to assess progress. You will help maintain the accountability mechanism by ensuring feedback from beneficiaries is collected, documented, and addressed. This role is vital for ensuring transparency and demonstrating the impact of AWYAD's interventions to donors and stakeholders.

Key Requirements
Degree in Statistics, Economics, Social Sciences, or a related field.
Experience in monitoring and evaluation within the development or humanitarian sector.
Proficiency in data collection tools like KoboToolbox, ODK, or SurveyCTO.
Strong skills in data analysis using Excel, SPSS, or Stata.
Understanding of logical frameworks and theory of change models.
Ability to conduct field monitoring visits and verify data quality on-site.
Experience in documenting lessons learned, case studies, and success stories.
Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
Excellent written and spoken English for professional reporting.
Ability to meet strict deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision.
