As a Child Protection Case Worker, you will provide critical support to children at risk or victims of abuse and neglect. Your primary responsibilities will include identifying children in need of protection, conducting thorough assessments, and developing individual case plans to ensure their safety and well-being. This role is essential for delivering timely and effective interventions to children across diverse regions in Uganda.

You will also facilitate access to essential services such as health care, education, and legal support for children and their caregivers. By working closely with community structures and child protection committees, you will help strengthen local protection mechanisms. This position requires high levels of integrity and a deep commitment to children's rights and welfare.

Key Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Social Sciences. Previous experience working with vulnerable children in a humanitarian context. Knowledge of child protection minimum standards and legal frameworks in Uganda. Skills in conducting Best Interest Assessments (BIA) and Best Interest Determinations (BID). Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally. Strong documentation and reporting skills. Capacity to provide psychosocial support to children and their families. Willingness to travel and work in remote areas across Uganda. Excellent team-working skills and ability to collaborate with local authorities. Patience and empathy when dealing with traumatized children.
