The Africa Fintech Network (AFN) is seeking a visionary Director of Programs, Innovation & Knowledge Management to lead its strategic initiatives across the African continent. This senior role is pivotal in shaping the future of digital finance by managing complex programs that bridge the gap between innovation, policy, and practical fintech solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the network's knowledge management systems, ensuring that insights from diverse markets are synthesized and shared to drive continental growth.
As a key leader within AFN, you will collaborate with regional fintech associations, regulators, and international partners to foster a robust ecosystem for digital financial services. This position requires a blend of technical expertise in fintech, strategic foresight, and the ability to manage multi-stakeholder programs in a dynamic, remote environment. You will play a crucial role in positioning AFN as a thought leader and a catalyst for innovation in Africa's rapidly evolving financial landscape. You will engage with partners such as the Tanzania Fintech Association (TAFINA), Fintech Association Of Nigeria, and many others across the continent.

Key Requirements
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in program management or innovation leadership within the financial sector.
Deep understanding of the African fintech ecosystem and regulatory frameworks across multiple jurisdictions.
Proven expertise in knowledge management and strategic organizational learning.
Experience in managing high-impact programs involving multiple stakeholders and international partners.
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Technology, or a relevant social science field.
Excellent leadership skills with a track record of managing cross-functional and remote teams.
Strong analytical capabilities for monitoring program impact and identifying innovation trends.
Professional fluency in English; proficiency in French, Portuguese, or other African languages is highly desirable.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills for high-level policy advocacy.
Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote, multi-cultural organizational environment.
