Our client, a leading renewable energy infrastructure developer, is seeking a visionary and results-driven Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to be based in Abuja, Nigeria. The CEO will hold complete ownership of the commercial strategy, spearheading significant deals and managing critical relationships with investors and Development Finance Institutions (DFIs). This role is pivotal in driving the company's growth within the energy sector, requiring a leader who can navigate the complexities of the Nigerian energy landscape while ensuring long-term sustainability and profitability.
The successful candidate will be responsible for building and closing a commercial pipeline of at least 40MW within the first year, focusing on Commercial and Industrial (C&I) customers, Distribution Companies (DISCOs), and government ministries. Key responsibilities include overseeing NERC captive generation licensing from the first month, executing land leases, and commissioning solar feasibility studies for anchor projects by the second quarter. The CEO must maintain a gross margin floor of 25% across all commercial contracts. Remuneration for this position is N3,000,000 monthly, with a performance bonus of up to N78,000,000, comprehensive private health cover for the CEO and up to three dependents, and an official company vehicle.

Key Requirements
A degree in Engineering from a recognized institution.
A Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
Must be a registered member of the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).
Minimum of 10 years of professional leadership experience.
At least 5 years of experience at the Director, Managing Director, or CEO level.
Proven track record of personally closing commercial contracts in the energy or infrastructure sector.
Possession of verifiable deal values and professional counterparty references.
Extensive experience in managing investor and Development Finance Institution (DFI) relationships.
In-depth knowledge of NERC captive generation licensing processes in Nigeria.
Demonstrated ability to execute land leases and solar feasibility studies for large-scale projects.
