IT MANAGER @ ACHYUTAM
Achyutam is looking for a dedicated and experienced IT Manager to join their operations in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania. This role is pivotal for overseeing and managing the entire plant-wide IT infrastructure, network operations, and system security within a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing robust IT policies, ensuring authorized access to company systems, and monitoring smooth communication across factory network hubs, including critical SAP networks. You will manage the connectivity and performance of IQS systems and network switches, ensuring that the technological backbone of the facility remains operational at all times. In addition to infrastructure management, the IT Manager will oversee routine inspections and maintenance of fiber networks, CCTV systems, and mobile connectivity. You will provide essential end-user support, troubleshoot complex IT-related issues, and supervise the maintenance of all IT assets such as desktops, laptops, printers, and scanners. The role also involves conducting daily IT review meetings to address operational challenges, maintaining updated network diagrams, and reviewing existing VLAN architectures to ensure optimal performance. This is a comprehensive leadership role requiring a mix of technical expertise and team management skills to support the manufacturing plant's diverse technological needs.
Key Requirements
Proven experience as an IT Manager or similar role specifically within a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of networking protocols, VLANs, fiber optics, and IT infrastructure management.
Hands-on experience with SAP connectivity and support within an industrial setting.
Demonstrated ability to manage and maintain CCTV systems and mobile connectivity.
Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware including desktops, laptops, printers, and scanners.
Expertise in implementing and enforcing company-wide IT security policies and procedures.
Ability to oversee fiber network cabling, terminations, and routine maintenance inspections.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team and conduct daily operational meetings.
Experience in creating, updating, and reviewing detailed network diagrams and VLAN architectures.
Excellent problem-solving skills to provide high-level end-user support and technical troubleshooting.
Capacity to manage IT asset life cycles and ensure proper cable management across the facility.
Background in managing IQS systems and network switch performance for smooth communication.
