We are currently seeking a highly organized, proactive, and results-oriented individual to join our team as a Logistics Officer in Dar es Salaam. This position is vital for ensuring the seamless flow of materials and equipment across our various infrastructure projects, helping the company maintain its reputation for excellence in construction and project delivery. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the transportation, delivery, and distribution of construction materials and equipment to project sites, while also monitoring inventory levels to ensure timely replenishment. Key tasks include managing suppliers and warehouse operations, tracking shipments, and preparing detailed logistics reports. Furthermore, the Logistics Officer will optimize transportation routes to manage costs effectively and oversee fleet performance, including fuel usage and maintenance. Key Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or Transport Management.
Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in logistics, transport coordination, or supply chain operations.
Demonstrated experience working specifically within the construction industry is a significant added advantage.
Strong organizational and analytical problem-solving skills to navigate complex logistical challenges.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills for effective supplier and transporter management.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel for data tracking and reporting.
Knowledge of specialized inventory management systems and logistics software tools.
Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and consistently meet tight project deadlines.
Possession of a valid driving license is preferred to assist with site visits and operational coordination.
Ability to manage fuel usage tracking, vehicle maintenance schedules, and overall fleet performance monitoring.
