We are seeking a highly experienced Automation Manager to join our dynamic team in the steel rolling industry in Uganda. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all automation processes, ensuring the efficiency and safety of our production lines. With a focus on continuous improvement, you will lead a team of technical professionals to implement and maintain state-of-the-art control systems, specifically tailored for steel rolling operations. This role requires a minimum of 15 years of specialized experience in the steel rolling sector. Candidates should possess a deep understanding of industrial automation technologies and have a proven track record of managing complex projects. The position offers a competitive salary ranging from 2 to 2.5 lakhs per month, depending on experience and qualifications. Key Requirements
Minimum of 15 years of professional experience specifically within the steel rolling industry.
Demonstrated expertise in managing industrial automation systems and personnel.
Advanced proficiency in programming and maintaining PLC and SCADA systems.
Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical components in steel mill machinery.
Proven ability to design and implement automation strategies to increase production efficiency.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing technical teams.
High-level problem-solving skills to address equipment failures and process bottlenecks.
Knowledge of international safety standards and regulatory compliance in heavy industry.
Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple industrial projects simultaneously.
