SECOND ENGINEER @ AAVISHKA
Aavishka is seeking a dedicated Second Engineer to support the engineering department on ADNOC-approved vessels in the United Arab Emirates. The Second Engineer will be tasked with supervising engine room operations, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring the reliability of all vessel systems under the direction of the Chief Engineer. This position is vital for the operational success of Tug, Towing, and AHTS vessels in the UAE offshore sector. Applicants must hold a Chief Engineer Unlimited certificate and have at least 24 months of experience as a Second Engineer on similar vessels. Previous ADNOC approval and a valid SSSAF are strict requirements for this role. The rotation is 60 to 90 days on and 60 days off. Interested mariners must be available for immediate joining and should not currently hold a UAE visa. Work takes place in the United Arab Emirates offshore zones.
Key Requirements
Chief Engineer Unlimited Certificate of Competency (Home Country or UK)
Minimum 24 months experience as Second Engineer on similar vessels
Must be previously ADNOC Approved
Valid ADNOC Senior Sea Staff Approval Form (SSSAF)
Experience on Towing, Tug, AHTS, or Supply Vessels
No currently valid UAE Visa
Competence in auxiliary machinery maintenance
Ability to stand engine room watches independently
Familiarity with safety management systems (SMS)
Effective communication skills within a technical team
