Our client in the logistics industry is seeking an experienced Import & Export Supervisor to oversee import and export operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate international shipments. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing the flow of goods across borders, ensuring that all logistics activities meet company standards and legal requirements in Dar es Salaam.
The Import & Export Supervisor will be responsible for supervising daily operations, coordinating with various stakeholders including freight forwarders and customs agents, and verifying complex shipping documentation. This position requires a proactive individual who can handle operational challenges, monitor shipment timelines, and maintain high levels of efficiency in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or Business Administration.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in import and export operations within the logistics industry.
Strong knowledge of customs clearance procedures and international trade regulations.
Proven experience coordinating with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and clearing agents.
Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics management systems.
Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English.
Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously.
Thorough understanding of import/export permits and regulatory compliance documentation.
Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate operational reports and analyze logistics performance.
