Our client, a leading company in the Flexible Packaging Industry, is seeking an experienced Procurement & Inventory Supervisor to oversee procurement activities, supplier management, and inventory control operations. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient flow of raw materials and supplies necessary for continuous production, while also maintaining optimal inventory levels to meet organizational goals. The position is based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and requires a professional with a proven track record in manufacturing supply chain management. This role involves close coordination with production, warehouse, and finance departments to ensure operational excellence and cost-effective procurement strategies. You will be expected to drive performance through accurate reporting, supplier relationship development, and strict adherence to internal inventory control procedures. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership skills and a deep understanding of the unique challenges within the flexible packaging sector, ensuring minimal stock discrepancies and maximum supply chain efficiency.
Key Requirements
Minimum 6 years of experience in Procurement and Inventory Management
Mandatory experience in the Flexible Packaging Industry
Strong knowledge of manufacturing raw materials and supply chain processes
Experience in supplier management and contract negotiations
Proficiency in ERP systems and inventory management tools
Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
Ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities effectively
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
