Our client, a prominent player in the logistics industry, is actively seeking an experienced and highly detail-oriented Senior Accountant. This crucial role involves overseeing comprehensive financial reporting, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, and managing the day-to-day accounting operations within the company.
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for preparing and reviewing accurate financial statements and management reports, ensuring strict adherence to accounting standards and statutory requirements. A key part of this role involves efficiently managing month-end and year-end closing processes, coordinating with external auditors, and liaising effectively with regulatory authorities to ensure seamless operations. Additionally, the role includes monitoring cash flow, conducting reconciliations, maintaining general ledger accuracy, and actively supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.
This position is specifically open to Tanzanian Nationals with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. The successful candidate will contribute significantly to the financial health and strategic decision-making of the organization, leveraging their expertise to maintain robust financial controls and provide valuable insights.

Key Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA(T) or CA qualification is mandatory
Minimum 5 years' experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the logistics or transport industry
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, budgeting, and statutory compliance
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to prepare and review comprehensive financial statements and management reports
Experience in managing month-end and year-end closing processes efficiently
Demonstrated capability to coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities
A commitment to ensuring compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements
