IT Vision Group is seeking a highly skilled Automation & Integration Engineer for a 6-month onsite engagement in Seattle, WA. The role involves building complex, end-to-end API-based integrations for platforms such as Meraki, Datadog, PagerDuty, and ServiceNow. You will be responsible for developing Python-based microservices to handle event ingestion, enrichment, and correlation, ensuring high levels of idempotency and reliability. The compensation for this role is $65/hr on a C2C basis without benefits.

In addition to microservice development, you will create and manage Datadog monitors, event pipelines, and routing logic. Your expertise will be used to implement PagerDuty event rules and escalation paths, alongside building ServiceNow Incident and CMDB integrations using Table APIs and Scripted REST. Candidates are expected to maintain high standards of clean code and structured logging while troubleshooting and debugging sophisticated integration workflows in a fast-paced environment.

Key Requirements

8–12 years of professional experience in software or systems engineering. Advanced proficiency in Python programming for automation. Extensive experience with requests/httpx and asynchronous programming (asyncio). Proven ability to implement structured logging and clean code principles. Expertise in debugging and troubleshooting complex API-based systems. In-depth knowledge of REST APIs and the Meraki Dashboard API. Experience building Datadog monitors, event pipelines, and processors. Proficiency in implementing PagerDuty event rules and escalation paths. Skills in ServiceNow Incident/CMDB integrations (Table API, Import Sets). Capability to develop Python microservices for event filtering and enrichment. Ability to work onsite in Seattle, WA for the duration of the contract. Experience with C2C work arrangements and independent project management.
