PCS is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a leading client operating within the dynamic mining sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of mining projects, ensuring that costs are managed effectively from start to finish. This role involves significant contract management, risk assessment, and the regular monitoring of site progress to maintain budget alignment. You will be expected to evaluate claims, prepare detailed monthly cost reports, and ensure that all operations comply strictly with health and safety standards.

In addition to technical expertise, the ideal candidate must possess strong analytical and communication skills to interact with various stakeholders. The position requires a willingness to travel both locally and internationally as project needs dictate. Applicants must be able to pass comprehensive police and credit clearance checks to be considered for this role. Key Requirements

Possession of a Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying. Professional accreditation with RICS is highly preferred. Between 5 to 10 years of professional experience specifically within the mining sector. Proficiency in project management software including MS Projects. Advanced technical skills in using CCS Candy and Primavera. Demonstrated ability to manage all project costs from inception to completion. Experience in preparing and reviewing complex contracts with thorough risk analysis. Capability to monitor site progress and conduct detailed cost analysis on-site. Expertise in evaluating claims and preparing detailed monthly cost reports. Thorough understanding and commitment to health and safety regulations. Willingness and ability to travel both locally and internationally for project sites. Must be able to successfully pass both police and credit clearance checks.
