You will play a critical role in leading the migration from legacy authentication systems to a modern, externalized authorization framework. Working remotely, you must be able to overlap at least 6 hours with the US-EST timezone to effectively partner with the global team and enable long-term ownership of the security infrastructure. This is a 12-month contract opportunity for a senior-level engineer with a deep background in IAM systems.

Key Requirements

Extensive experience with Golang for high-performance backend development. Deep expertise in Zanzibar-based ReBAC authorization systems such as SpiceDB or OpenFGA. Proven track record in deploying and managing applications on AWS using EKS. Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform for cloud resource management. Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL database design and optimization. Strong experience in IAM (Identity and Access Management) and modern authorization architectures. Ability to implement monitoring and observability solutions using Datadog. Experience building robust Go-based Authorization Service and middleware components.
