RESTAURANT COOK / CHEF @ WHISTLING WOODS
WHISTLING WOODS is urgently seeking an experienced Restaurant Cook / Chef to join the opening kitchen brigade for our newly completed Bakery, Café & Restaurant facility in Sinza, Dar es Salaam. This position involves executing menu items for the main restaurant service, ensuring every dish meets our high standards for flavor and presentation while managing a specific kitchen section efficiently.
The successful candidate must have a proven background in a professional kitchen setting, demonstrating strong technical skills and the capacity to handle high-volume service. Immediate availability is essential to help establish the operational success of the new restaurant.

Requirements:
- Relevant experience as a Restaurant Cook, Chef de Partie, or similar role
- Ability to manage a station and perform well under pressure during service
- Strong hygiene, food safety knowledge, and teamwork
- Availability to start immediately
- Expertise in preparing diverse restaurant menu items (main courses, soups, grills)
- Effective management of food preparation (mise en place) and storage
- Controlling kitchen inventory and minimizing food wastage
- Adherence to strict standards for food quality and presentation
- Experience working with various cooking equipment and techniques
- Ability to train and mentor junior kitchen staff
