RESTAURANT MANAGER @ TURACO SPICE TREE HOTEL
Turaco Spice Tree Hotel in Stone Town, Zanzibar, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to lead our dining operations. The primary responsibility includes overseeing all front-of-house activities, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction, and maintaining profitable operations. This role demands strong leadership to manage and inspire the restaurant staff, ensuring service excellence, adherence to brand standards, and efficient operational flow. We are specifically looking for Local Tanzanian Applicants.
Key responsibilities involve menu management, inventory control for beverages and consumables, compliance with health and safety regulations, and handling customer feedback professionally. The manager will be instrumental in developing strategies to increase revenue and improve the overall guest experience, while also managing staff scheduling, training, and performance reviews to foster a cohesive and high-performing team.

Requirements:
- Must be a Local Tanzanian Applicant.
- Proven experience of at least 3 years as a Restaurant Manager or similar managerial role in an upscale hotel or fine dining environment.
- Excellent leadership, motivational, and people management skills.
- Strong financial acumen, including experience managing P&L, budgets, and cost control.
- Extensive knowledge of food and beverage (F&B) operations, service standards, and wine lists.
- Ability to resolve customer complaints efficiently and professionally, ensuring retention.
- Familiarity with restaurant management software, Point of Sale (POS) systems, and reservations platforms.
- Valid food handler permit and comprehensive knowledge of hygiene and safety regulations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- A degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
