A crucial role is available for one experienced Port Operator to manage and streamline cargo flow at the terminal in Dar es Salaam. The primary focus is on supervising loading, offloading, and staging activities, ensuring maximum operational efficiency while adhering strictly to safety and compliance standards required by the Tanzania Ports Authority.
Candidates must bring a minimum of 3 years of practical experience in port or marine terminal operations. This position requires active involvement in planning daily operational tasks, coordinating equipment and manpower, and ensuring accurate documentation and reporting of all movements within the port area.

Requirements:
- 3+ Years experience preferably within a Logistics or related field, specifically port operations.
- In-depth understanding of vessel operations, cargo handling procedures, and yard planning.
- Experience coordinating with stevedores, shipping agents, and terminal authorities (TPA).
- Knowledge of safety regulations specific to port environments.
- Ability to manage and track container movements and inventory within the port terminal.
- Proficiency in using Terminal Operating Systems (TOS).
- Strong problem-solving skills to manage unexpected operational bottlenecks.
- Excellent communication and team coordination abilities.
- Capacity to work rotational shifts, including nights and weekends, typical of port environments.
- Diploma or Degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, or Port Management.
