We are seeking one experienced Accountant to join our finance team in Dar es Salaam, supporting the operations of a busy logistics company. The core responsibilities include managing the general ledger, ensuring financial records are accurate and compliant with both internal policies and Tanzanian regulatory standards, and providing financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
The successful applicant must have a minimum of 3 years of experience, ideally in an industry related to logistics or supply chain. This role involves comprehensive financial reporting, budgetary control, managing asset records, and ensuring timely submission of all statutory and tax obligations.

Requirements:
- 3+ Years experience preferably within a Logistics or related field.
- Proven proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Tally).
- Deep knowledge of IFRS and Tanzanian tax regulations (VAT, PAYE, Corporate Tax).
- Ability to manage the full accounting cycle, including journal entries, ledger maintenance, and reconciliations.
- Experience in preparing accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
- CPA/ACCA certification or working towards certification is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills for budget preparation and variance analysis.
- Experience managing accounts payable and receivable specific to freight and logistics.
- High level of integrity and professional ethics.
