TMHS Group (Tindwa Medical & Health Services), a leading integrated healthcare, safety, and environmental solutions provider in East Africa, is seeking a motivated Volunteer Store Management Officer to join their Procurement Department in Tanzania. This volunteer role offers an excellent opportunity for professional development focused on procurement, specifically within store management, reporting directly to the Procurement Manager. The core responsibilities involve comprehensive store operations, including managing inventory documentation, ensuring stock security, and maintaining accurate records of all receipts, adjustments, and withdrawals. Key tasks include issuing and receiving materials, reconciling orders, tracking discrepancies, and managing inventory levels to meet established minimum and maximum requirements. The officer will also handle stock rotation, disposal processes, and shipping cancelled or damaged items, requiring strong computer literacy and analytical skills.
Requirements:
  • Diploma in Procurement and Logistics or Procurement and Supplies Management.
  • A minimum of 1 year of related experience in store management or logistics.
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and internet usage, demonstrating a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong data analytical ability, capable of utilizing advanced statistical techniques and concepts.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle all stores documentation, filing, and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Expertise in issuing, receiving, tracking, and resolving discrepancies on received orders.
  • Responsible for managing inventory/supplies and ensuring they are within established minimum and maximum levels.
  • Responsible for stock rotation, coordination of surpluses disposal, and managing the entire disposal process.
  • Ability to manage supplier relations and maintain high ethical relationships both internally and externally.
