ASSISTANT FINANCE MANAGER @ SUNBIRD TOURISM PLC
This role involves supporting the Finance Manager in all aspects of financial management for the hotel. Key responsibilities include preparing monthly management accounts and variance analysis reports, coordinating the annual budgeting process, and developing medium to long-term financial projections. The Assistant Finance Manager is critical in ensuring the financial health and strategic planning of the hotel.Furthermore, the successful candidate will enforce strict credit control management to ensure timely debt collection and prepare detailed work paper files for both internal and external auditors. The role also demands diligent oversight of internal controls across various hotel departments and managing the accounts staff, ensuring full compliance with all relevant financial regulations, including tax laws.
Requirements:
- Applicants must have a Degree in Accounting from recognised university.
- Those with or studying professional qualifications such as ACCA or CIMA are encouraged to apply.
- Must be a member of ICAM in good standing.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar position.
- Must have MSCE (Malawi School Certificate of Education).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Good understanding of excel is a must.
- Knowledge of local and international tax regulations.
- Proven experience in credit control management and ensuring timely debt collection.
- Ability to manage and lead accounts department staff efficiently.
