SHTL, a leading company in the Logistics & Transportation industry, is seeking two experienced and qualified Human Resources Officers. These positions are critical for managing the human capital aspects of the company across two key operational sites. The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring smooth HR operations, maintaining legal compliance, and fostering a productive work environment. Possible duty stations include the Head Office (HQ) in Dar es Salaam or the Lugoba Yard location.

Key responsibilities include managing comprehensive employee records, supporting end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes, and coordinating staff training and welfare initiatives. The role demands strong expertise in Tanzanian labor laws, payroll administration, and handling employee relations and disciplinary matters effectively. Candidates must possess a minimum of two years of relevant HR experience, ideally within the logistics sector, and demonstrate the ability to work autonomously while maintaining strong communication skills.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2+ years’ HR experience, preferably in the logistics or transportation industry.
  • Good knowledge and proven understanding of Tanzanian labor laws and compliance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills necessary for effective employee relations.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and manage time efficiently.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processing, statutory deductions, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience handling comprehensive employee records, contracts, and leave management.
  • Ability to effectively support recruitment, performance management, and disciplinary processes.
