The Building Maintenance Manager is crucial for ensuring the safe, efficient, and sustainable operation of the mall’s physical assets and facilities in Dar es Salaam. This managerial role focuses on long-term asset value preservation, cost efficiency, and risk mitigation, ultimately ensuring a high-quality experience for both tenants and visitors.
Key responsibilities include comprehensive maintenance, repairs, and asset lifecycle management. The manager will oversee safety, security, and compliance governance, manage financial controls and budgets, and lead contractor and service provider relationships. A focus on energy efficiency, sustainability (ESG), and effective governance is essential for success in this position.

Requirements:
- At least Advanced Diploma in Building Construction Engineering, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
- Certification in Facilities or Property Management is an added advantage.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in building/facilities management and or maintenance.
- At least 5 years in supervisory or managerial positions.
- Proven experience managing contractors and outsourced service providers.
- Strong knowledge of safety, security, risk, and compliance governance in facility management.
- Expertise in managing cleaning, sanitation, and environmental services.
- Proven ability in financial control, cost efficiency, and budget ownership for maintenance operations.
- Experience implementing energy efficiency and sustainability (ESG) performance strategies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, particularly concerning tenant and visitor experience.
