ACCOUNTANT (2 POSITIONS) @ PAVEWAY AFRICA LIMITED
The Accountant will be responsible for supporting core financial operations within a reputable Financial Institution. Key duties include managing reconciliations, preparing detailed financial reports, and handling day-to-day accounting activities efficiently. This critical role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial data and supports regulatory compliance efforts within the organization based in Dar es Salaam.The ideal candidate must possess strong analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail, enabling them to thrive in a highly structured financial environment. They are expected to demonstrate proficiency with essential financial software and contribute proactively to the financial health and operational efficiency of the institution.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2–4 years’ experience in accounting, finance operations, or reconciliations
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office tools
- Strong numerical accuracy and analytical skills
- CPA (T), ACCA, or equivalent (completed or advanced stage)
- Ability to manage and perform bank and general ledger reconciliations
- Experience with financial reporting and compliance procedures
- Knowledge of relevant Tanzanian tax laws and IFRS/GAAP standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Kiswahili
- Proven ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
