PROCUREMENT QA/QC ENGINEER – WELDING @ NES FIRCROFT
We are urgently recruiting a Procurement QA/QC Engineer focused on Welding quality control, based in Singapore. This position requires 10-15 years of dedicated experience ensuring that all procured fabricated components meet the highest welding standards, with mandatory involvement in the FEED and detailed engineering stages. Responsibilities include the rigorous review of WPS/PQR packages, auditing fabricator qualifications, and overseeing source inspection activities related to welding processes and non-destructive testing (NDT).The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree, ideally hold an internationally recognized welding inspection certification (like AWS CWI), and have comprehensive knowledge of major industry codes (ASME, API). This role is crucial for mitigating welding-related risks in the supply chain, demanding strong technical judgment and excellent coordination with project engineering teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Welding Engineering or Metallurgy.
- 10–15 years of experience specifically in welding inspection and QA/QC for procurement.
- Mandatory experience in FEED and detailed engineering phases.
- Certified Welding Inspector qualification (e.g., AWS CWI or equivalent).
- Expertise in reviewing Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR).
- Extensive knowledge of NDT methods (PT, MT, UT, RT) and interpretation.
- Deep understanding of international welding codes (ASME Section IX, API 1104, AWS D1.1).
- Experience performing source inspections and expediting fabrication quality.
- Ability to audit vendor welding facilities and qualification programs.
- Proven track record in managing non-conformance reports related to welding issues.
