PROCUREMENT QA/QC ENGINEER – VALVE @ NES FIRCROFT
An urgent opportunity exists for a Procurement QA/QC Engineer specializing in Valve technology in Singapore. This senior position requires 10-15 years of specialized experience in managing the quality aspects of valve procurement, covering both standard and severe service applications during the FEED and detailed engineering phases of large-scale projects. Key activities include specifying valve requirements, overseeing manufacturing quality, witnessing critical factory acceptance tests (FAT), and ensuring compliance with codes such as API and ASME.Candidates must hold a relevant Bachelor’s Degree and demonstrate deep technical understanding of valve mechanics, actuation systems, and material compatibility. The role demands sharp analytical skills to identify and resolve quality issues before shipment, ensuring the reliability and integrity of all valve components delivered to the project site.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
- 10–15 years of experience focused on valve specification, procurement, and quality inspection.
- Mandatory experience in FEED and detailed engineering phases.
- Expertise across various valve types (e.g., ball, globe, gate, control, PSVs).
- Detailed knowledge of API and ASME standards applicable to valve design and testing.
- Experience performing functional and hydrostatic testing at vendor sites.
- Ability to review and approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and supplier data books.
- Proficiency in conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for valve failures or non-conformances.
- Strong skills in managing global valve supply chain quality.
- Excellent technical report writing and documentation control.
