ETP OPERATOR @ METL GROUP
We are seeking an experienced ETP Operator for our facility in Zanzibar. The primary responsibility is the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of the Effluent Treatment Plant to ensure all discharge standards meet regulatory environmental compliance requirements.
This includes precise management of chemical dosing, monitoring key quality parameters (pH, COD, BOD), and performing routine checks and troubleshooting. The operator must strictly adhere to all relevant safety and environmental protocols.

Requirements:
- Technical certification or diploma in Environmental Engineering or relevant field.
- Proven experience operating Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP).
- Knowledge of chemical processes and dosing required for wastewater treatment.
- Ability to monitor and record operational data (flow rates, pH, TSS, COD).
- Familiarity with safety procedures related to handling hazardous chemicals.
- Troubleshooting skills for minor mechanical and electrical issues in the plant.
- Adherence to local environmental regulations and standards.
- Ability to perform basic laboratory tests on water samples.
- Experience maintaining pumps, filters, and mixers.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts as required by plant operations.
