CHILLER OPERATOR @ METL GROUP
We are hiring a Chiller Operator to manage the cooling infrastructure critical to our manufacturing processes in Zanzibar. The operator will be responsible for the continuous and efficient functioning of industrial chiller units and related cooling towers.
Duties include monitoring system performance, managing refrigerant levels, executing routine maintenance, and swiftly troubleshooting any operational anomalies to prevent disruptions to production. Strict compliance with environmental and safety regulations regarding refrigerants is mandatory.

Requirements:
- Technical certification or diploma in HVAC/Refrigeration technology.
- Proven experience operating and maintaining industrial chiller systems.
- Knowledge of cooling cycles, refrigerants, and system diagnostics.
- Ability to monitor performance indicators and adjust flow rates/temperatures.
- Skill in performing preventative maintenance, including cleaning coils and checking leaks.
- Familiarity with safety regulations pertaining to refrigerants.
- Troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving minor operational faults.
- Experience with chemical water treatment for cooling towers.
- Ability to read and interpret piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
- Record keeping of operational logs and maintenance history.
