CASHIER @ MAYZON GROUP
Mayzon Group is seeking a dedicated and professional Cashier to join their team, reporting to the Shop Manager at a Vodacom shop location in Mwanza, Tanzania. The core responsibilities include providing outstanding customer service, assisting customers with various M-Pesa transactions (deposits, withdrawals, bill payments), clearly explaining products and services, and handling basic customer inquiries and complaints. The role is crucial for maintaining high customer experience standards in line with Vodacom policies.The Cashier will also manage sales responsibilities such as selling SIM starter packs and promoting services. Operational duties involve receiving, handling, and safeguarding cash and M-Pesa transactions, managing float, performing daily reconciliations, ensuring accurate documentation, and complying with all company procedures and regulatory requirements. Attention to detail and strong numerical skills are essential for maintaining financial controls and reporting discrepancies promptly.
Requirements:
- Hold a Diploma or higher qualification in Accounts, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in cashier positions, specifically in M-pesa or Mobile money operations.
- Strong numerical accuracy skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Exceptional customer service and strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage cash, M-Pesa float, and perform daily reconciliation accurately.
- Knowledgeable in cash handling procedures and able to thrive in fast-paced transaction environments.
- Ability to clearly explain products, services, charges, and transaction processes to customers.
- Aged between 22 and 30 years old.
- Capacity to report suspected fraud, shortages, or system issues immediately.
