SENIOR ACCOUNTANT @ MAVERICK RECRUITMENT
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join their team in Nairobi, Kenya, specifically located near Mombasa Road. The primary goal of this role is to manage the full cycle of accounting functions, including the meticulous preparation and review of financial statements, management reports, payables, receivables, and complex reconciliations. The successful candidate must ensure absolute compliance with all statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements relevant to the Kenyan market.
This position requires a professional who can contribute strategic insights through effective budgeting, forecasting, and detailed financial analysis, while maintaining strong internal controls and accurate accounting records. The gross salary offered for this challenging role is between KES 70,000 and KES 80,000 per month, reflecting the required five years of experience and specialized qualifications.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in a similar role.
- CPA (K) qualification is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (e.g., IFRS/GAAP).
- Excellent knowledge of accounts and accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
- Expertise in statutory, tax, and regulatory compliance (e.g., KRA regulations).
- Ability to manage full accounting functions (payables, receivables, reconciliations).
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and detailed financial analysis.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Previous experience in the fresh produce sector is a strong advantage.
