PROFESSIONAL GARDENER @ MAVERICK RECRUITMENT
This role requires a skilled and detail-oriented Professional Gardener to manage and significantly enhance the outdoor spaces of a high-end private residence in Narok, Kenya. The primary responsibility involves comprehensive care for lawns, gardens, hedges, and trees, ensuring the property maintains a high level of aesthetic appeal and health at all times.Key duties include expert planting, pruning, trimming, fertilizing, and managing complex irrigation systems. The ideal candidate must also be proficient in monitoring plant health, diagnosing, and managing pests and diseases effectively, while operating and maintaining all necessary gardening tools and equipment. They should be prepared to recommend seasonal improvements to the landscape.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a professional gardener, preferably in high-end homes.
- Strong knowledge of plants, landscaping, soil care, and irrigation techniques.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Physically fit and hardworking for demanding outdoor tasks.
- Demonstrate honesty, reliability, and detail-oriented work ethic.
- Good communication skills for effective reporting.
- Verifiable references demonstrating previous success in gardening roles.
- Expertise in pest and disease management for various flora.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining various gardening tools and powered equipment.
- Experience recommending and executing seasonal planting and landscape improvement plans.
