ACCOUNTANT @ MAPARAHWE PROPERTIES PRIVATE LIMITED
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Accountant to join Maparahwe Properties Private Limited in Norton, Zimbabwe. This full-time role reports directly to the Operations Director. The successful candidate will be pivotal in managing all financial transactions, ensuring accurate financial statement preparation, and maintaining strict compliance with all relevant financial laws and regulations, including specific tax requirements.Key responsibilities include managing accounts payable and receivable, general ledger activities, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting efforts. The ideal candidate must hold a Degree in Accounting, possess at least two years of relevant experience, and demonstrate mandatory proficiency in both Sage Pastel and the Zimra Tarms taxation system. Strong analytical skills and the ability to provide critical financial insights to management are essential for success in this role.
Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a similar role
- Proficiency in Sage Pastel software
- Expertise with Zimra Tarms taxation system
- Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS accounting principles and financial reporting requirements
- Demonstrated ability to manage financial transactions (A/P, A/R, general ledger)
- Experience in preparing comprehensive financial statements (Balance Sheets, Income Statements, Cash Flow Statements)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
- Strong commitment to regulatory compliance and timely deadline adherence
