The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining precise financial records, managing cash flow, and overseeing all sales and service transactions. A critical part of the role involves mastering and applying Tanzanian tax legislation, specifically handling all aspects of VAT filing and ensuring timely statutory reporting to relevant authorities.
We require an energetic professional with 3–5 years of accounting experience, ideally within the retail or service sector. The ideal candidate must possess strong analytical skills and excellent communication in English to support management decisions. The salary for this role falls within the $800 to $1000+ per month range, depending on qualifications and status.

Requirements:
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records.
- Manage cash flow and prepare financial statements.
- Maintain sales and service records.
- Learn and manage Tanzanian tax laws effectively.
- Execute VAT filing and statutory reporting requirements.
- 3–5 years accounting experience (retail/service sector preferred).
- Energetic and meticulous work ethic.
- Good English communication skills.
- Proficiency with industry-standard accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closure.
