Our client, a prominent leader in the food manufacturing sector, is urgently seeking an experienced Marketing Manager. This pivotal role involves taking complete ownership of the company's marketing, trade marketing, and merchandising strategies. The successful candidate will be responsible for building an internal merchandising function, strengthening brand visibility across all channels, and driving aggressive market penetration initiatives, especially given the regional market exposure of the role. This position requires a strategic thinker who can work closely with Sales and Distribution teams to ensure seamless route-to-market execution across general trade, modern trade, wholesalers, and retailers.
The Marketing Manager will lead all product positioning and pricing support initiatives, manage comprehensive promotional campaigns, and oversee all agency and vendor relationships to ensure cost efficiency. Key responsibilities also include monitoring competitor activity, tracking marketing performance metrics, and preparing detailed reports for senior management. A hands-on, resilient, and highly accountable approach is essential for achieving business growth objectives in this fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
  • 7–10 years’ experience in FMCG or manufacturing marketing.
  • Strong trade marketing and merchandising exposure, including experience structuring and managing an internal merchandising function.
  • Proven experience managing internal teams and distributor-led markets.
  • Expertise in developing and implementing an integrated marketing and trade-marketing strategy aligned with business growth objectives.
  • Deep knowledge of FMCG route-to-market dynamics and execution guidelines.
  • Strong execution, leadership skills, and a results-driven mindset.
  • Highly analytical, commercially astute, and capable of strategic planning.
  • Ability to track and analyze marketing and merchandising performance metrics to refine strategy.
  • Experience developing and managing the marketing and trade-marketing budget, ensuring cost efficiency.
