EXCAVATOR OPERATOR (2 POSITIONS) @ HALIMA ISSA
This position seeks two skilled and experienced Excavator Operators to join our team for projects located across various sites in the Tanga region. Successful candidates will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy excavation machinery, ensuring all groundwork, trenching, and material handling tasks are completed according to project specifications and timelines. We are looking for reliable professionals dedicated to upholding high standards of operational safety and efficiency on site.Key duties include conducting pre-operation safety checks, monitoring equipment performance, and reporting any defects or maintenance needs promptly. Operators must possess a deep understanding of site safety protocols and collaborate effectively with site supervisors and other construction personnel to achieve daily production targets. Requirements:
- Proven experience operating heavy excavation machinery, specifically excavators.
- Valid and current operator license or certification for excavation equipment.
- In-depth knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to construction sites and heavy machinery operation.
- Ability to perform routine daily maintenance checks and minor repairs on the equipment.
- Excellent physical fitness, hand-eye coordination, and spatial awareness.
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting site plans, grading specifications, and excavation requirements.
- Ability to work effectively in varying weather conditions and demanding physical environments.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong commitment to meeting project deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions from site supervisors.
- Previous experience working on construction or infrastructure development projects in the Tanga region is preferred.
