This role is for a highly skilled Tax Specialist to join a team in the Auditing industry in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring complete compliance with local tax laws and regulations, managing all aspects of tax filing, and providing strategic advice on tax matters. This requires a professional with significant experience and specialized knowledge to handle complex tax scenarios effectively.The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience, backed by a Bachelor's degree in a finance or accounting related field. While a professional qualification like CPA or ACCA is beneficial, the ability to apply strong analytical skills and practical knowledge of the Tanzanian tax environment is crucial for success in this demanding role.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field
- Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is an added advantage
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a tax or accounting role
- Strong knowledge of local tax laws and regulations
- Ability to prepare and file accurate tax returns and manage compliance documentation
- Proficiency in relevant tax software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, ensuring accuracy in all filings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal teams and tax authorities
- Experience handling tax audits and providing advisory services
- Demonstrated detail-orientation and high level of organization
