AREA SALES MANAGER (2 POSITIONS) @ CAREER VENTURES
This role seeks two highly motivated and experienced Area Sales Managers to oversee sales operations within key regions of Kenya, specifically Nairobi and Nakuru, along with their surrounding environs. The successful candidates will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing distribution networks, and leading dedicated sales teams within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector. This position requires strong strategic acumen and proven experience in managing trade channel partners to maximize market penetration and achieve ambitious sales goals. The successful candidate must indicate their region of preference when applying.Key responsibilities include ensuring effective territory management, developing promotional strategies, and maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders. The required gross salary for this position ranges from KES 100,000 to KES 120,000 per month, supplemented by attractive performance bonuses based on regional success and goal achievement. A Degree in Marketing and at least three years of experience as an Area Sales Manager are mandatory prerequisites for this challenging and rewarding role.
Requirements:
- FMCG Brands Sales Experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Area Sales Manager (ASM).
- Proven track record of managing a sales team effectively.
- Experience managing Distributors and achieving sales targets through them.
- Proficiency in managing other Trade Channel partners.
- A Degree in Marketing is required.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
- Deep knowledge of the Nairobi and Nakuru markets and environs.
- Excellent leadership and coaching abilities for sales staff.
