TRUCKS AND HEAVY-DUTY TRUCKS DRIVERS (7 POSITIONS) @ BACKBONE
BACKBONE is seeking seven experienced and dedicated Trucks and Heavy-Duty Trucks Drivers to join our logistics team. These crucial roles involve the safe and timely transportation of goods across various routes within Tanzania. Candidates must possess a valid commercial driving license, a clean driving record, and demonstrable experience operating heavy goods vehicles, including rigorous adherence to all safety protocols and traffic laws. Responsibilities include performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, documenting delivery details, and assisting with securing cargo. The ideal applicants are reliable, physically fit, and skilled in defensive driving techniques. Basic mechanical skills to handle minor roadside repairs are highly valued.
Requirements:
- Valid commercial driving license (Class C, E, or equivalent) for heavy-duty trucks.
- Minimum 3 years of verifiable experience driving large commercial vehicles.
- Clean driving record and ability to pass drug and alcohol screening.
- Familiarity with Tanzanian road laws and geography.
- Physical ability to load, unload, and secure cargo.
- Basic knowledge of truck maintenance and emergency repairs.
- Ability to maintain accurate logs of working hours and vehicle service.
- Strong commitment to safety and adhering to transport regulations.
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery schedules.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
