LOGISTICS GPRS TRUCKERS INTERN (2 POSITIONS) @ BACKBONE
BACKBONE is offering two internship positions for Logistics GPRS Truckers Interns. This opportunity is designed for enthusiastic individuals looking to gain practical experience in the complex world of transportation logistics, focusing specifically on utilizing GPRS tracking systems for real-time fleet management. Interns will assist the logistics team in monitoring truck movements, optimizing routes, and ensuring compliance with delivery schedules across Tanzania. The interns will be responsible for data analysis related to trucking efficiency and preparing daily reports on fleet performance. This role provides excellent exposure to supply chain dynamics and the technological tools used to maximize operational output. Ideal candidates are organized, tech-savvy, and eager to apply theoretical knowledge in a demanding environment.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of trucking operations and logistics processes.
- Familiarity with GPRS/GPS tracking systems and fleet management software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- High motivation to learn about real-time supply chain monitoring.
- Attention to detail for data entry and report generation.
- Willingness to undertake fieldwork related to tracking and route optimization.
