WNY Independent Living, Inc. is currently seeking a dedicated CDL Van Driver to join the Independence Express team based in Batavia, NY. In this vital role, you will be responsible for transporting individuals with disabilities throughout Genesee, Orleans, and Wyoming Counties. Your work will directly impact the lives of community members by providing them with safe, respectful, and reliable transportation options, fostering greater independence and accessibility. The position covers Genesee, Orleans, and Wyoming Counties as work locations. The annual pay is $38,000–$39,000 plus benefits.
Key Requirements
Must have a valid NYS Class A, B, or C license.
Required passenger endorsement (P).
Clean and verifiable driving record.
Reliable and punctual attendance for all shifts.
Compassionate and respectful attitude towards people with disabilities.
Strong focus on vehicle and passenger safety standards.
Ability to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends.
Proficiency in navigating Genesee, Orleans, and Wyoming Counties.
Physical ability to assist passengers with boarding and exiting the van.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for diverse populations.
