FOOD TECHNOLOGIST + FOOD TECHNICIAN (1 POSITION) @ VISTA GROUP
Vista Group is seeking a dedicated professional to fill the dual role of Food Technologist and Food Technician for their expanding operations. This unique 2-in-1 position is designed for an individual who is comfortable bridging the gap between laboratory research and the physical production floor. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and perfecting product recipes, focusing on taste, texture, and shelf life, while simultaneously overseeing the transition from experimental testing to full-scale mass production. This is a hands-on role requiring direct interaction with factory machinery and a proactive approach to troubleshooting production issues to maintain consistent output quality.
In addition to technical product development, the role emphasizes operational efficiency and waste reduction during the scale-up process. Candidates must possess a deep understanding of food science but must also be willing to engage directly with factory operations and manual tasks. Ownership and accountability are critical, as the role demands delivering high-quality results under pressure and maintaining rigorous standards without excuses. Experience in bakery or cake production is considered a significant advantage for this position located in Dar es Salaam. Key Requirements
Creating and perfecting product recipes including taste and texture analysis
Managing the transition of products from testing stage to mass production
Operating and working directly with production machinery
