SR. SNOWFLAKE ADMIN @ VENTOIS
The Senior Snowflake Admin will be responsible for the core management and configuration of the Snowflake data platform. Key responsibilities include implementing robust User, Role, and Access Management (RBAC) strategies, managing the architecture of warehouses, databases, and schemas, and ensuring efficient data ingress via various methods like COPY commands, Snowpipe, and stages. A critical aspect of this role involves continuous query monitoring and optimization to ensure high performance and cost efficiency across the platform. This is a Long Term Contract position open to remote candidates based in the USA.
Furthermore, the administrator will drive Security and Governance initiatives, including establishing data masking, implementing row-level security, and configuring network policies, often involving integration with SSO/MFA solutions. Performance tuning is essential, requiring expertise in warehouse sizing, troubleshooting complex query issues, and monitoring overall usage and credit consumption. Candidates should also be proficient in automation using scripting languages such as Python, SQL, and shell, preferably leveraging Infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform for CI/CD pipelines. Experience working with cloud storage (S3/ADLS/GCS) and integrating Snowflake with external tools like Airflow or dbt is highly desirable.
