WORKSHOP MANAGER (FLEET MAINTENANCE) @ TRUCKING INDUSTRY DCSPL
The Workshop Manager will be the primary authority over the reliability and technical health of a massive fleet comprising over 400 Heavy Commercial Trucks. This senior leadership position involves overseeing all aspects of fleet maintenance, including preventive strategies, rapid breakdown response, and meticulous cost control. The successful candidate will lead a dedicated workshop team to ensure maximum vehicle availability, directly impacting the company’s operational efficiency in the Tanzanian transportation sector. Possible work locations include Dar es Salaam or Mtwara. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with deep technical expertise in HCVs and extensive experience managing large-scale maintenance facilities. The position offers a competitive salary of USD 5,000 to 6,000 per month (Take Home) on a renewable 2-year contract. Benefits include company-provided housing, annual airfare, comprehensive medical insurance, and full sponsorship of work permits. Salary: USD 5,000 – 6,000 per month (Take Home).
Key Requirements
Nationality: Indian
10-15 Years experience in the Heavy Commercial Trucking sector
Deep technical knowledge of Heavy Commercial Vehicles (HCVs)
Expertise in managing large-scale maintenance operations
Proven experience in preventive maintenance strategies
Skills in breakdown control and rapid response management
Demonstrated ability in cost management for large fleets
Ability to lead and mentor a large workshop team
Willingness to relocate to Dar es Salaam or Mtwara, Tanzania
