OPERATIONS MANAGER (TRUCKING) @ TRUCKING INDUSTRY DCSPL
The Operations Manager serves as the nerve center for the logistics chain, managing a large-scale trucking operation within Tanzania. Key responsibilities include overseeing dispatch operations, optimizing routes, and managing turnaround times (TAT) at ports and borders. You will also focus heavily on fuel efficiency and cross-border logistics to ensure the fleet of 400+ trucks operates at peak performance levels. The role requires a strategic planner capable of driving operational KPIs and maintaining high service standards. Possible work locations include Dar es Salaam or Mtwara. This position is offered with a salary range of USD 3,000 to 4,000 per month (Take Home) on a renewable 1-year contract. As an expatriate role, the client provides housing, insurance, and travel benefits. Key Requirements
Nationality: Indian
10-15 Years experience in the Heavy Commercial Trucking sector
Proficiency in dispatch operations and logistics planning
Expertise in route optimization and fuel efficiency
Knowledge of turnaround time (TAT) optimization at ports and borders
Proven track record in managing cross-border logistics
Strategic planning skills for complex logistics chains
Experience in monitoring and improving operational KPIs
Willingness to relocate to Dar es Salaam or Mtwara, Tanzania
Ability to handle high-pressure logistics environments
