This Sr. Snowflake Platform Engineer position is a long-term contract opportunity (C2C) based in Boston, MA, requiring a hybrid presence. The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining a robust enterprise-level Snowflake data platform. This role focuses heavily on leveraging advanced features of Snowflake, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and strict adherence to data security and governance standards, particularly through fine-grained Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) implementation. You will be expected to utilize your deep expertise in both traditional and cutting-edge Snowflake technologies, including Snowflake Cortex, Copilot, and Intelligence features, to drive data innovation and business intelligence initiatives.
The ideal candidate possesses significant hands-on experience delivering complex data solutions within enterprise environments. A strong background in advanced SQL scripting for automation and data manipulation is essential. Furthermore, demonstrable experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is necessary as the Snowflake environment often integrates closely with these cloud ecosystems. Key Requirements
5+ years of hands-on Snowflake delivery experience in enterprise environments
Expertise in RBAC design and implementation of Snowflake security best practices
Proficiency in advanced SQL for complex data manipulation, querying, and automation / scripting
Proven cloud experience with at least one major platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP
Experience utilizing specialized Snowflake features including Cortex, Copilot, and Intelligence capabilities
Strong understanding of modern Data Warehousing concepts and ETL/ELT methodologies
Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines for Snowflake deployments
Ability to perform performance tuning and optimization of Snowflake queries and warehouse usage
Prior experience working successfully in a Contract-to-Contract (C2C) or long-term consulting model
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
